At the height of the 1960’s California Dream, one Los Angeles clinic opened its doors to offer conversion therapy to the worried suburban parents of LGBTQ children. Doctors wondered if identity could be changed, and designed a project to see if gender and sexuality were, in fact, the results of nature or nurture. While seeking the truth in this hidden story behind their own identities and activism, two unlikely friends, both non-binary trans people, come together to investigate the ongoing harm of gender conversion therapy that continues to shape the lives of trans youth into the present day.
